Russell Fewins Awarded New British Standard BS8522

Russell Fewins Ltd has been accredited with the new British Standard BS8522 which replaces the PAS 126-1:2008 and PAS 126-2:2008.

The Standard sets the benchmark for all aspects of the commercial moving operation and covers three phases of the work: initial contact, survey and quotation; the carrying out phase and follow-up including quality measurement and remedying the shortcomings.  The Standard requires a demonstrable and measurable level of compliance and achievement against each of these elements.  Systems and procedures that are in place to provide evidence of these are audited and evaluated externally annually to ensure continued adherence and compliance to the standard.

RUSSELL FEWINS ATTAIN NEW BRITISH STANDARD AND RECEIVE INDUSTRY MERIT

Russell Fewins Ltd, the Dartford based commercial removals and facilities company, has received a merit from the judges of the British Association of Removers’ Commercial Mover of the Year Competition 2009 and attained PAS126.

The merit reflects outstanding service in the field of office and commercial moving under the Large Move Category – for moves of over 50 people.

Commenting on the industry merit, Richard O’Sullivan, Managing Director said:

“I am delighted to have received this merit and it reinforces our investment in staff training and quality project management.”

Russell Fewins have also successfully passed the PAS126 which is about to become a new British Standard in July 2009.  The standard applies to the commercial removal sector and Russell Fewins Ltd are one of very few businesses in this sector to have passed it.
