The Royal Philatelic Society London - Scope Office Relocation And Storage, Recycling Of Redundant Effects
Russell Fewins were proud to be awarded the contract for the relocation of the historic RPSL offices and clearance of redundant items. The initial plan was to schedule a phased relocation directly from their existing offices into their new Abchurch Lane offices. Due to the over-running of building works the relocation plans had to change on relatively short notice. To ensure their current offices were vacated on time we rearranged to allow for all effects to be collected and brought into our secure storage facility. We then collected redundant furniture and effects; distributing to worthy causes where possible with all other items being recycled to avoid landfill. Upon completion of building works we co-ordinated a phased delivery plan from our storage facility to their new offices, this method allowed our client to unpack artefacts and effectsto original sequences with maximum efficiency. We worked hand in hand with the client’s project team to ensure that their fast changing and evolving requirements were met and with flexibility and efficiency. Thus ensuring that their existing offices could be handed back on time and all items and artefacts were secured safely until such time as new offices were ready to receive. Services provided include:
Risk assessment and method statements
Relocation services (including specialist desk-top IT & Server relocations)
CONCLUSION This project was completed on time and on budget. The societies new offices were officially opened by Her Majesty The Queen on 26th November 2019.
